We are hiring for the following positions (available as of April 2008):
Director of Maintenance Services:
Under direction of the General Manager,
plans, organizes and provides supervision and oversight for daily
maintenance operations and activities in an assigned area, which
includes residential, multi-family and commercial properties; supervises
and evaluates the work of both maintenance employees and outside
contractors; coordinates section activities with those of other sections
and departments; inspects and troubleshoots maintenance work; and
performs related work as required.
Education and Experience:
Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) and three years of skilled or semi-skilled maintenance experience which must have included one year of lead experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. College-level course work enabling incumbent to obtain job-related licenses or certificates is desirable.
Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work out of doors in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or heavy construction equipment; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio. Must work emergency overtime as required. Must be willing to work out of doors in all weather conditions and with exposure to traffic and potentially hazardous conditions.
Knowledge of: (at entry)
Principles and practices of employee supervision, including work planning, assignment and review and the training of staff in work procedures;
Policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities found in a residential, multi-family and commercial building setting;
Policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to landscape areas;
Policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to the service and maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles;
Safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities;
Applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations;
Computer applications related to the work;
Basic principles of budget development and administration;
Inventory control practices and principles; and
Techniques for effectively dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, in person and over the telephone.Skill in: (at entry)
Planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing the work of staff;
Supervising complex maintenance and repair tasks in area of assignment;
Assisting in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department;
Interpreting, applying and explaining complex codes, regulations and procedures;
Inventorying and ordering equipment, supplies and materials;
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, correspondence and status reports;
Using, tact, initiative and sound judgment within general procedural guidelines;
Using tools and operating equipment used in area of assignment; and

General Office Assistant:
Under direction of the Office Manager,
provides excellent customer service in all areas via all access points
including telephone, email and face-to-face; responsible for maintaining
filing systems, receiving and posting of rents and work requests;
responsible for multiple other tasks as needed throughout office
environment.
Education and Experience:
Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) and two years of office experience that must have included one year of switchboard or phones; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. College-level course work enabling incumbent to obtain job-related knowledge or certificates is desirableLicenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.Knowledge of:

Bookkeeping Assistant:
Under direction of the Office Manager and Bookkeeper,
provides support and assistance in bookkeeping related items including
but not limited to: accounts receivable, reconciliation of vendor and
utility accounts, posting and distribution of owner statements. Excellent customer service in all areas via all access points
including telephone, email and face-to-face; responsible for assisting
in maintaining
filing systems;
responsible for multiple other tasks as needed throughout office
environment.
Education and Experience:
Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) and two years of direct bookkeeping experience that must have included one year of general ledger; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. College-level course work enabling incumbent to obtain job-related knowledge or certificates is desirableLicenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.Knowledge of:
